Dsquared2’s first co-ed fashion show for Fall Winter 2017-18 introduced a special co-branding project with iconic outerwear label K-Way.

The fashion label’s signature mismatch of styles infused with a contemporary luxury sportswear vibe bond with K-Way’s smart, versatile and practical attitude. A longstanding staple since it was invented by Leon-Claude Duhamel in 1965, K-Way’s unisex nylon sporty jacket is the timeless modern raincoat.

The capsule collection features reversible windbreakers, anoraks and down bomber jackets that true to K Way’s tradition are easy to fold.

Each piece is enriched with the iconography of both brands, striking a balance between refined and playful, spontaneous and bold. K-Way zippers, pullers and logos are blow up to appear on oversized outerwear in orange, red, yellow and black. Embroidered patches or red-and black Buffalo check, inspired by trekking and hiking in Canada, plus a flower fields print also add character to each style.
“The collaboration with K-Way is an amazing opportunity for us to work for such an iconic brand. We are excited about the creative synergy the project has sparked. Together, both brands make a unique contemporary statement. Details are deliberately oversized, like the zips and the fabrics while the finishings are unexpectedly interchangeable. Urban function meets mountaineering cool because in these jackets men and women are style equals,” said Dean and Dan Caten.
“We are so proud of having the opportunity to work with Dean e Dan Caten and are very pleased with how they have injected the spirit of Dsquared2 into K-Way. The mix of their unique style and our iconic pieces generated a strong and innovative capsule,” said Lorenzo Boglione, Vice President for Sales of BasicNet.
